A billiard table has no pockets and is played with 3 Carom balls.

A pool table has 6 pockets and is played with 15 numbered balls and a cue ball.

Billiards in the 1700 and 1800’s was the number 1 sport in the United States.

Billiards is not very popular in the United Stated today but has a large following in Europe, Asia, and South America.

The regulation tournament size Billiard table is 5 X 10’
The regulation tournament size Pool table is 4 1/2 X 9’

What height should I hang my billiard lamp?

A billiard light hanging over your pool table is essential for playing a good game of pool. Highly recommend.

Good lighting eliminates the shadows reflected off of the pool balls.

The height of your lamp should be 34-35” from the bottom of the shade to the top of your pool table.

If you are installing your pool table light before your pool table arrives the light should be hanging 65-67” from the bottom of the shade to the floor.
